Wellbeing Programmes

These programmes consists of a number of different complementary therapy skills and is broken into five modules which could be included within a session. This programme is taught in a variety of situations and is age adapted for each one. For example we have a parenting programme within it and an under 7 programme called Buddiez. Modules and activities within them are optional and should be chosen by the beneficiaries to respond to their particular need. The modules and examples of the activities are:

  1. Exercise - yoga
  2. Health Issues - Lifestyle choices like exercise & sleep, healthy eating, impact lifestyle choices have on our body
  3. Meditation, relaxation and breathing exercises
  4. personal Development - Techniques to reduce stress and anxiety, raise confidence and self esteem, positive thinking, achieving success and happiness
  5. Therapies – Learn to give complementary therapy like reflexology and head massage. These skills are to be used in the family, peer and classroom setting and do not lead to a qualification. These can be adapted to ensure they are culturally sensitive.

The life skills taught through the modules will encourage and improve reflection on what triggers psychological problems. This project provides space for reflection, relaxation and building relationships and provides support for social, behavioural and emotional difficulties.

Each participant will receive a work book which can be used as a reference to the therapy sequences learnt and some of the issues covered and as a log book to record personal development and reflections.
